Sanctuary's Z1000MkII

This Z1000MkII was customized along with the owner's preferences. Riders who like sport riding tend to choose a low handlebar; however, this owner valued touring confort, so he selected a higher one. Therefore, the headlight and bikini cowl has been placed on a higher place, which makes the front part look tall as well.

As a high performance machine beyond 1970's motorcycles, this bike has 17-inch wheels with PIRELLI DIABLO tires. Sanctuary reinforced the frame and redesigned SCULPTURE's bracket and swingarm for the owner to have an ideal riding posture. For suspensions, they selected OHLINS' shock units. Moreover, to reduce overall weight and improve braking and turning performance while running at high speed, they selected OZ Racing's newest products GASS RS-A wheels with Brembo's calipers and brake master, and Sunstar's rotors. This custom is based on a rare air-cooled Z and its engine is really valuable nowadays. To keep its lifetime, the exhaust system consists of Yoshimura's TMR-MJN carburetor and NITRO RACING's full titanium exhaust. These parts will help owner prevent any stressfull situations in his daily use. In this custom, Sanctuary is also adjusted routings of plug cords and brake hoses. Their custom is always detailed so much.

Bodyworks

The Z1R's bikini cowl is installed to improve wind protection for touring, but Sanctuary made it easily removable considering that Z1000MkII is rare and valuable. Of course, the cowl brackets were modified to fit with it because the light rim and other parts would remain and look weird.

NITRO RACING's carbon under cowl works as air resistance reduction, and makes the bike more stylish. A drain hole is also provided for race use.

Handle

The mirrors are carbon models manufactured by Magical Racing, which are often selected by Sanctuary. They are highly evaluated for their light weight, almost no blurring when riding, and high rearward visibility of the blue mirror.

Handlebar is POSH's Superbike Bar. The positional relation of the bikini cowl and other parts has been decided with it. If you look closely, you can see that the meters and other parts of are remained to be stock. It also helps the owner recover Z1000MkII's spec. easily without relocating the blinkers and other parts.

The rearset is made by NITRO RACING, which is popular for its simple design. The operating part has a built-in bearing for comfort, and is one of the Sanctuary's standard and popular products.

The rear shocks are OHLINS' Legend Twin Shocks. They are ones of the most popular products used in several customizations, so there is a lot of setting data available. Their setting is tailored to the owner's needs.

The brake calipers are Brembo's GP4RX 4-pot calipers and the rotors are Sunstar's RCM Concept. Brakes are important regardless of the rider's skill level, which is why Sanctuary pursues reliable and safe braking with first-class products.

The swingarm is made by SCULPTURE and accommodate the latest radial tires in 180 size. The racing standup and sway bars were modified. OZ Racing wheels for the ZRX1200 are used for future expansion.

Engine

Desplacement increased using Pistal Racing's pistons, and the cylinders were bored and honed by PAMS EST liners. There are wide range of modifications to improve reliability, such as reduced pumping loss in the crankcase and valve seat cutting.

Intake & Exhaust

The exhaust system is fully made of titanium by NITRO RACING, and it consists of a hand-bent exhaust pipe and a megaphone type conical titanium V-III silencer.
